Who we are
AppuBot (the desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, its updates, and this website, appubot.com) is made by Sarthak Gupta, an individual developer in India ("we", "us"). Contact: support@appubot.com.
Your licence to use AppuBot
We give you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use AppuBot on computers you own or control, for personal and commercial purposes, free of charge, for as long as you follow these terms. AppuBot is licensed, not sold: we keep all rights we don't expressly give you.
What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute AppuBot, or offer it as a hosted service, other than sharing the official download link.
- Modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this despite this limit.
- Remove or change its copyright, trademark or licence notices, or get around its update checks or other limits.
- Use it to break the law or the terms of the services you connect, or to harm, spy on or access systems or accounts of others without their permission.
Your AI accounts and other services
AppuBot works with services you choose and connect yourself: AI agents and models (such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others), connected apps, Telegram and more. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and prices, which you are responsible for, including any usage your bots cause. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for them.
Your bots act for you
Bots can read and change files, run commands, use apps on your computer and act in your connected accounts, depending on the permissions you give them. AI can make mistakes. You decide what your bots may do, you review their work, and you are responsible for what they do on your behalf. Keep backups of anything important.
Your content
What you create and store with AppuBot is yours. It stays on your computer; see the privacy policy for what is collected and where data goes.
Updates and changes
AppuBot updates itself. We may add, change or remove features, stop supporting older versions (an old version may stop working until it is updated), or stop offering AppuBot. Some features may in future come with their own terms, which apply alongside these.
Ownership
AppuBot, its code, design, name and logo belong to us. AppuBot includes open-source components under their own licences, listed in the third-party notices that ship with the app; nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.
No warranty
AppuBot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or business, arising from your use of AppuBot or of services connected to it, and our total liability for any claim is limited to US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you; nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending these terms
You can stop using AppuBot at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms. The sections on ownership, no warranty, limitation of liability and the law that applies continue after that.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over disputes, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date at the top of this page. If you keep using AppuBot after that, you accept the new terms. Questions: support@appubot.com.
