What it's for
An AppuBot Cloud computer is for your own bots doing your work: answering you, running routines, using websites and apps, handling files and connected accounts. It is one person's computer, or on a Work plan one team's, shared by its members. On a Work plan the team's admins are responsible for members following it. This policy is part of the terms, and it applies to anything you or your bots do on it.
Fair use and "no hour limits"
We don't count hours: your bots can work as long as their tasks take. In return, the computer should be doing your bots' work, not something else that keeps it busy around the clock. If a computer runs flat out for long stretches with no bot work going on, we'll look into it and may ask you about it.
Not allowed
- Crypto mining, or any other use whose point is to burn processing power: proof-of-work, password cracking, or selling or sharing the computer's capacity.
- Hosting for the public: websites, servers, game servers, public file sharing or anything else that other people connect to.
- Proxies and VPNs: running a proxy, VPN, Tor relay or exit node, or otherwise passing other people's internet traffic through your computer.
- Spam: bulk or unsolicited messages, emails or posts, fake accounts, fake reviews or fake engagement.
- Attacks and abuse: scanning or probing other systems, denial-of-service, breaking into accounts or systems, malware, phishing, or scraping that ignores a site's rules or overloads it.
- Illegal or harmful content: anything illegal where you are or where the computer is, including child sexual abuse material (reported to the authorities, always), content that infringes others' rights, fraud, harassment, threats, or breaking sanctions and export laws.
- Breaking other services' rules: using AI providers, connected apps or websites against their own terms.
- Getting around the plan: sharing one account between several people (a Work plan gives each member their own), reselling access, or trying to dodge plan limits.
- Interfering with us or others: trying to reach other users' computers, escape your computer's isolation, or disrupt our systems or those of our providers.
Your bots act for you, so what they do counts as what you do. Set their instructions and permissions with this in mind.
What we do about misuse
- Usually we write to you first and ask you to stop.
- We may suspend a cloud computer, at once and without warning when the harm is serious, ongoing or the law requires it. Suspending stops the computer and keeps your data; we email you to say why.
- For serious or repeated misuse we may close the account. You can still ask for your data for 30 days, unless the law stops us from giving it.
- We report illegal content and activity to the authorities where the law requires or allows it.
We don't read your chats or files to look for misuse. We look at how the computer is running (for example how busy it is and how much it sends), and at reports.
Reporting misuse
If you think an AppuBot Cloud computer is being misused, email sarthak@appubot.com with what you saw, when, and any addresses or links involved.
